Where we are

Padova is located in the middle of Veneto Region, in North Eastern Italy, 40 kilometers West from Venezia (Venice). Its central position makes it very easy to reach by plane, by train or by car.

By plane
The nearest and most convenient airport is the “Marco Polo” International Airport of Venice, (located in Tessera) 45 kilometers East of Padova. Venice airport has direct flights to/from New York, Philadelphia, Paris, Munchen, London, Amsterdam, Zurich, Wien, Rome, Milan. Other smaller airports near Padova are the “Valerio Catullo" airport of Verona, (located in Villafranca) 90 kilometers West of Padova, and the airport of Treviso 50 kilometers East of Padova.

From Venice airport to Padova
• By bus: there are SITA buses every 30 or 60 minutes from “Venezia Aereoporto Tessera” to “Padova Autostazione” and vice-versa (click here to get a timetable). The ride takes approximately one hour and 10 minutes (depending on traffic conditions). The final stop in Padova is “Autostazione” near “Stazione Ferroviaria” (railway station).
• By shuttle Airservice: picks up travellers from the airport and delivers them to any address in Padova for 30 Euro (one way from/to Venice). The average trip takes about 50 minutes. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of your departure/arrival flight, but due to the limited capacity we suggest to make the reservations not later than June 14th, 2012. Untill June 14th, 2012, reservations can be made through the online registration form available on this website. • By taxi: the taxi ride may be very expensive, around 100 Euro.

By train
Padova railway station is both on the Venice-Milan-Turin (Venezia-Milano-Torino) and on the Venice-Florence-Rome (Venezia-Firenze-Roma) lines (many trains are available). Milano (230 km) and Firenze (240 km) are about 2 hours away, Roma (500 km) and Torino (370 km), about 4 hours. By car
Two major highways (“autostrade”) connect Padova to main cities in Italy: the A4 Milano-Venezia (take Padova Ovest exit) which cuts northern Italy East to West, and the A13 Milano-Bologna (take Padova Sud exit) which connects the city with Bologna, Firenze, Roma and the South.
